Formulating Natural Household Cleaning Products

Use your formulation skills in a brand new way by creating your own natural household cleaning products! In this class you’ll learn professional cleaning product formulation (different from DIY recipes based on lemon juice or vinegar, for example).

This class provides formulations for a range of household cleaning products suitable for many uses around the home, reducing the amount of products required for general cleaning. Working with natural and organic ingredients, for example COSMOS-approved surfactants, our cosmetic scientists have created five ready-to-use product formulations:

• Lemon and Rosemary All-purpose Cleaning Spray.
• Eucalyptus Dishwashing Liquid.
• Green Mandarin and Petitgrain Laundry Detergent.
• Bathroom Cleaning Powder.
• Furniture Polish.

With each formulation we share the benchmark, product development questions, formula, instructions, product specifications and directions for use.

For each type of product we also provide formulation templates and guidelines so that you can create your own unique formulations following our guidelines.

If you formulate your own skincare or haircare then you can definitely create your own cleaning products too, and you probably already have many of the ingredients needed.
