EXPERIMENT AND REPORT: Testing Leucidal Preservatives

Leucidal preservatives are a popular type of preservative with home formulators as they are naturally derived and composed of mainly extracts and ferment. We are often asked which Leucidal preservatives are most effective. So, in this experiment and report, we put three Leucidal preservatives to the test to determine their efficacy. The results will help you choose effective, natural preservatives for your formulations.

We tested three popular Leucidal preservatives:

  • Leucidal Liquid with AMTicide Coconut
  • Leucidal SF Complete
  • Leucidal SF Max.

We sent three lotions, identical in every way except for the preservative they contain, for professional Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET) and in this report we share the results with you so you can discover which ones passed. The PET results show if these preservatives are effective in preventing microbial growth and contamination or not.

Don’t take chances with your products growing bacteria, mold and yeast. Download the report to discover which preservatives passed the test and which ones didn’t!

Receive over US $500 worth of test results within this report.

We tested the same lotion with four other COSMOS-approved preservatives in our Testing Four Natural Preservatives report. So for a complete set of results showing which of the seven preservatives tested were effective be sure to check out that experiment, too.
